Rafael was born in Mexico City where he studied bel-canto at Mexicos Nationl Conservatory of Music although the strengh of his family tradition led him to sing and Mexican Song in huge venues as well as in concert halls (such as Blas Auditorium Galindo National Centre Arts, Degollado Theater, Teatro de la Paz, Capital Square, Alcazar de Chapultepec, Lunario, Voila center Antara, Auditorium Silvestre Revueltas and Juan Rulfo, Room Julian Carrillo, Tijuana Cultural center, Teatro Calderon Zacatecas, Sala Ponce Palace Fine Arts Auditorium Zaragoza, National Art Museum, singing with piano, symphony orchestras or mariachi band. As tenor has recently sang classic repoeroire concerts and also sang the leading tenor role of the Operas: “Carmen” by G. Bizet; “Nabucco” by G. Verdi; “Pagliacci” by R. Leoncavallo in Concert Halls, Theaters around Mexico Zacatecas, Durango and Tabasco And in Coahuila "Tosca" by G. Puccini, with the company "Opera of Mexico". In the USA he sang at Charlotte Latin American Festival ;in California at Lindwood, Hollywood, and Los Angeles, San Diego, Theatres San Diego and Balboa Auditorium Theater in Chicago; in Arizona in Casino del Sol Amphitheater, Tucson. New York in F. Meadows Park and Tribbeca Manhattan Performing Arts Center. In Eurepe at La citte Universitaire and the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris, France; Theater Bonn in Germany, Hallein Kultur Forum, Monchberg Casino and Grosser Saal of Salzburg in Austria as well as many cities in Japan, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Peru. In Spain he has performed in television in Santiago de Compostela Madrid among other cities. As actor he's participated either as cast and star actor at movies, television, musicals and opera.
